Virscidian Launches Analytical Studio Experiment Builder

Virscidian Inc., developer of software solutions to automate LC/MS (liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry) decision-driven workflows, today announced the release of their latest software, Analytical Studio Experiment Builder (AS-Experiment Builder), the latest tool in their Analytical Studio product line.  Virscidian developed Analytical Studio to accelerate drug discovery. The software automates analysis of mass spectrometric and chromatographic data to provide actionable intelligence, such as the identity and quantity of compounds of interest, optimal analytical and preparative LC/MS conditions, reaction monitoring, and much more. It also provides users with ranked lists of results to streamline decisions about what steps to take next, and which compounds to move forward in the discovery and development pipeline.  

AS-Experiment Builder is designed to automate the creation of new High-Throughput Experimentation (HTE) or array-based synthesis experiments.  According to Mark Spears, Virscidian Senior Scientist, “Analytical Studio Experiment Builder promises to be a game-changer in high-throughput experimentation research. We’ve innovated many features for easy experimental setup and made the resulting data analysis and results review very simple.“

AS-Experient Builder allows the user to define the sample plate types, distribute configured reagents, reactants, catalysts, buffers etc. into the different wells, and generate basic instructions for liquid/solid dosing robots and lab technicians.  It can integrate with an organization’s chemical database, allows for batch importing of chemical libraries and reactant databases.  Using the AS-Experiment Builder simplifies experimental design and ensures that the correct substance information and other metadata for each sample is available during the processing of the analytical data which is used to confirm the success of the synthetic reactions.
