Overview

Modern chromatography-mass spectrometry workflows are intricate, requiring diverse hardware and software. A requirement for successful automation is the seamless exchange of metadata such as substance name, substance type, molecular formula, sample location on the plate, etc.

When present, the metadata allows Analytical Studio to confirm the existence of a desired substance, provide advanced results states indicating important chromatography qualities, determine which purification method will yield the highest purity, determine binding affinities for small molecules to proteins, and calculate percent conversion from starting material to product to name just a few.

AS-Sample Management (AS-SM) provides a user interface that simplifies the creation of sample lists linking one workflow stage to another, and ultimately ensures the complete retention of all sample metadata throughout an experiment.
